Data Protection Associate Solicitor
Role Title: Data Protection Associate Solicitor
Location: City of London
Salary: Dependent on Experience
Kinton Blake are delighted to have been instructed by one of the standout names in the Commercial/TMT market both in London and internationally to help recruit for a Data Protection Associate Solicitor to join the expanding team based in the heart of London's legal district.
Our client is an international law firm widely regarded as the 'go-to firm' for all commercial matters, with strengths across the Media, E-commerce, IT, Communications, Sports and Financial Services markets. They are a firm with significant international reach and some of the most well-known partners across the commercial space. They are consistently top-ranked for privacy and data protection matters, advising on all aspects of new products and services and in respect of commercial arrangements involving personal data.
You will advise a broad range of clients on a diverse range of data protection matters including GDPR and privacy compliance, data transfer challenges, use of online tracking and data breaches. The role will expose you to clients across an extremely broad range of sectors, including ad-tech, financial services, luxury brands, disruptive tech companies, sports, music, film and digital marketing.
You will provide strategy advice and play a key role in the passing of new data protection legislation, as well as providing commercial advice and often counselling clients in respect of tech law and e-commerce related matters.
You will ideally have 3-5 years post-qualification experience from a Top 50 UK law firm or in-house background with a focus on data protection matters. You will have clear ambitions of working for a leader in your field and have a desire to join a busy team where you can work with international colleagues and clients. You may have gained experience at a top tier US, Magic or Silver Circle practice and be looking for greater balance from your career, whilst not compromising on the quality of your work.
This is an exceptional opportunity for the right candidate to further develop their skills and reputation in this practice area at a firm committed to ambitious growth and where individual commercial innovation is actively encouraged.
